At roughly $110 a pop with shipping for the opportunity to submit a few cheek cells to the Genographic Project, it's not for everyone on your list. My freeway neighbors must have thought I was ready to be pulled over and institutionalized yesterday, that's how funny the current Gillmor Daily is, with Doc attempting to sort his garbage in the dark and Steve attacking his earphone packaging with an indeterminately recyclable fork. Of course, the high level insights between the laughs just make it all the more enjoyable. I do think Steve is on to something when he observes It's not what you do that counts, it's what you don't do. (I didn't veer into any oncoming traffic, and in the end that was probably the most important aspect of the experience for all concerned.)
