- Wendy Seltzer is the guest on the March 12 edition (excellent show notes) of The Gadget Show, where she discusses current issues at the EFF including the Endangered Gizmo List.
- Listening to both Kevin and Wendy this morning reminded me to be sure to plug the fact the EFF is looking for an IP attorney. Or at least it was as of March 4. I imagine since then there has been a flurry of Bay Area IP associates submitting resumes, to be rivaled only by the clamorous stampede to attend the MGM v. Grokster Send-Off Party.
- Craig Patchett, in a comment to Stephen Nipper's post (dovetailing with Marty's on the same topic) about the potential trademarking of "podcast:" "I think all the examining attorney will have to do is notice that Google has over 2,500,000 entries for 'podcast', none of which have anything to do with the parties who filed the application, before they call their coworkers in for a good laugh." If you're a belt and suspenders kind of person, Stephen has instructions for helping get "evidence of genericness" in front of the examining attorney.
- Need MCLE, or just interested in an entertaining film about the copyright wars? Fair Use in the Digital Age is well done, thought provoking, reasonably priced, and available for viewing online at your convenience.
