"Hello? It's a cow."

Beds is particularly uproarious this month, as I learned this morning when my Dad read me the piece over the phone while I was Assembling Baby Things. (This is chief among my activities these days, second only to Once Again Trying To Get The Baby To Sleep.) He also read me the first chapter of Bleak House, which I read several epochs ago (law school) and he just picked up. (No small feat at 850+ pages. The whole thing, not the first chapter.) Some fabulous potential blawg names and/or tag lines are lurking in there, have at 'em:

"Mountains of costly nonsense"

"Suffer any wrong that can be done you rather than come here!"

"Victim of rash action—brains"

AKA St. Whois?

Dennis Kennedy: "In this 200th anniversary year of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, I now plant the blawger flag and proclaim that St. Louis is Blawg City, USA." [Link probably added ;)]

Now I'll Have It Stuck In My Head All Weekend

Marty Schwimmer: "The family of the Zulu composer of the song 'Mbube,' the basis for the song 'The Lion Sleeps Tonight,' have sued Disney in South Africa for royalties. Disney used the song in its 'Lion King.'" Here's the back story of the "Wimoweh" song, and a report from Independent Online, South Africa.

Berry Interesting

Alexander Lubarsky: "Gone are the days of 'going back to the precinct to run the prints.'" (Thanks Sabrina, whose post pointer to Alex still tops him in the search for "e-discovery blog," but doubtless not for long.)
